MAA Found Math: Joel Haack, Dean of the College of Humanities, Arts and Sciences at University of Northern Iowa, sent us this photo of, in Dr. Haack's words, "Halbhoher Mossbacher Winter Hellgruner (Brassica oleracea)", also known as wild cabbage. "A nice natural fractal or the beginning of a space-filling curve," he wrote in an email. (Click image for full size).
