MAA Found Math 2012 - Week 29

MAA Found Math: A sculpture found by Barrett Leslie in Minneapolis during the SIAM 2012 International conference. Leslie described the sculpture in an email: "It is a metal sculpture which has three levels of a Sierpenski Gasket embedded inside of one another. Starting at the third iteration and working inward to the first. Looking closely at the sculpture, the outer vertices of the previous iteration are welded to the center of the next iteration's tetrahedrons. It's quite impressive and an interesting take on the Sierpenski Gasket, one I have not seen before."
