This book was clearly inspired by the classic Counterexamples in Analysis by Gelbaum and Olmsted. It is in much the same spirit. The focus is general topology (aka point set topology). This is a subject rich in weird examples of all kinds, and they are nicely organized and presented here. If you need an example to explain, say, why sequential compactness is not equivalent to compactness, this is where you can find it.
