COVID-19 and Section Meetings

MAA is closely monitoring COVID-19 and our sympathies go out to all those who have been affected. Since there is no way to predict when the impact of the virus will subside, based on the latest information from the CDC, NIH, and WHO, we recommend that Sections follow state and CDC guidelines regarding in-person gatherings.

We appreciate your commitment to your community and we have prepared Section Officers to provide an online alternative for hosting some Section meetings through our Zoom platform. Each Section will make the necessary adjustments that best serve their needs and we are working diligently to support their endeavors.

For those Sections transitioning back to face-to-face meetings, MAA has created a document of safety requirements for Sections to utilize in planning and collecting registrations for their meetings.

Below are the Section meetings and events provided to the Association. Schedule of events include regular meetings, business meetings, dinner meetings, undergraduate events, and short courses.

REMINDER: To ensure that your Section's events are announced both here and in the Association newsmagazine, MAA FOCUS, be sure to submit your meeting details promptly to [email protected]
