Martin Gardner Hated Doing Puzzles, Says Diaconis
Gary Antonick kicked off a special series of Martin Gardner posts in the New York Times' Numberplay blog this week.
Antonick speaks to Stanford mathematician Persi Diaconis about the late Gardner, who would have been 100 this October 21. He also presents the so-called three-card swindle and indicates the multiple opportunities to celebrate Gardner's legacy in this his centennial year.
