Math Initiative Gives Greenburgh Students Day Off
Students in New York’s Greenburgh Central 7 School District had the day off on March 14 in honor of “Pi Day”.
Superintendent Ronald Ross said that, during their day off, students should contemplate mathematics and prepare for a series of sessions by Harvard- and Oxford-trained mathematician, Jonathan David Farley.
"It's learning about math in a different way than they have ever before," said Ross about the upcoming sessions with Farley. "It's open to any kid who has a love of math and wants to explore something different. It's very unique."
