Astronomer Tycho Brahe born in Knutstorp, Denmark (now in Sweden). He spent much of his life on an island near Copenhagen observing the night sky from his Uraniborg Observatory, but near the end of his life moved to Prague where he entrusted his nearly 40 years of astronomical records to his assistant Johannes Kepler.
