Robert Hooke born in Freshwater, Isle of Wight, England. Best known for Hooke's Law in physics, this multi-talented scientist and mathematician held the jobs of Curator of Experiments and Lecturer in the Mechanical Arts for the Royal Society, Professor of Geometry at Gresham College, and City of London Surveyor simultaneously.
