GIMPS finds 39th Mersenne Prime

Math and Science Partnerships (MSP) program

The National Science Foundation has just released the program solicitation for the Math and Science Partnerships (MSP) program. This is a major new initiative, managed by NSF's Directorate for Education and Human Resources (EHR). The program's goal is to improve mathematics and science teaching at the K-12 level through collaborations between schools and institutions of higher education. The NSF expects to fund both wide-ranging, comprehensive programs and smaller focused programs.
