Heinrich Burkhardt (1861-1914) was a German mathematician recognized for his work on elliptic functions and group theory. As a professor of mathematics at the University of Zürich, he served as a PhD examiner for Albert Einstein. His Einführung in die Theorie der analytischen Functionen einer complexen Veränderlichen (1897) provides insights into the field of analysis at this time.
