Mathematical Treasure: Maximilian Hell’s Elementa Arithmeticae

Maximilian Hell (1720–1792) was a Hungarian astronomer and an ordained Jesuit priest. He was a prolific author and wrote many books on natural philosophy and astronomy as well as a few on mathematics. His Elements of Arithmetic was published in 1768.
