Johannes Schöner (1477–1547), also known as “Mathematicus,” was a German scientific polymath. His portrait was drawn by the humanist Jean-Jacques Boissard (1528–1602) and included in Bibliotheca chaleographia 1652–1669 (1669).

Schöner’s most important mathematical work was Algorithmus demonstratus, published in 1534.
