Nicomachus of Gerasa (ca. 60-120) was a Neo-Pythagorean mathematician. His Pythagorikou arithmētikēn eisagōgē (Introduction to Arithmetic), perhaps best known today by its Latin title, Arithmetica, promoted Greek number theoretical arithmetic and was an early mathematical reference in Europe. Here are images from a 14th century Greek manuscript copy of this work.

The manuscript featured above is held by the Central Scientific Library, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ukraine, and can be viewed via the World Digital Library.
