Description:
Over the past decade there has been a national movement to improve and refocus the content taught and the pedagogy used within a College Algebra course. Refocused courses ask students to solve contextually-based problems by creating and interpreting mathematical models. This workshop is designed to assist faculty in: a) teaching College Algebra from the modeling perspective, b) creating materials and problems which could be incorporated into a refocused course, c) exploring different forms of technology which motivate communication and representation.

Learn more about this workshop at the Refocusing and reMODELING College Algebra website.
