Forbes Magazine Features Problems from the American Mathematics Competitions

April 9, 2007

The April 5 print and online editions of Forbes magazine spotlight Akamai Technologies, one of the sponsors of the MAA's American Mathematics Competitions, in the cover story "Building the Infinite Internet." The Web version also offers its readers a sampling of questions from the contests.

Akamai Technologies each year provides financial support for the Mathematical Olympiad Summer Program, which brings together 25 young and brilliant mathematicians competing for selection to the United States of America Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO), then awards scholarships to the top three scorers on the USAMO.

For those interested in testing their mathematical abilities, Forbes.com has a quiz whose problems come from the 2006 AMC 8; the 2007 AMC 10; the 2007 AMC 12; and the 2007 AIME Alternate.
