Maplets for Calculus

There are two free multivariable calculus maplets in this site. The first is a quadric surface identification maplet. It presents the user with a random quadric surface and prompts for the name and the equation of the quadric. It has a built-in tutorial for identification of basic shapes and graphical error checking. The second is an interactive exercise in finding equations of tangent planes to implicitly defined surfaces randomly generated. The user is prompted to compute the components of the gradient and determine the equation.
