Mathematical Treasure: Todhunter's Theory of Equations

Isaac Todhunter (1820-1884) was a British mathematician, teacher and textbook writer. He was also noted for his writings on the history of mathematics. In 1888, Todhunter's An Elementary Treatise on the Theory of Equations was published. 

 

The “Preface” supplies an outline of work in the theory of equations.

 

The “Table of Contents” provides an outline of the topics considered in the book.
